What is LakeAdmin?
LakeAdmin - the Regional administration of lake restoration initiatives - is a project where good lake restoration practices will be assessed and shared throughout Europe. It has been co-financed by the European Union's Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and made possible by the INTERREG IVC Programme.
What is Lakewiki?
Lakewiki (Järvi-meriwiki in Finnish) is a wiki service of Finnish lakes, where anyone can, among other things, write about a lake, participate in discussions and upload photographs and observations. It is maintained by the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE).
In order to serve as a lake-specific database and communication platform for the LakeAdmin project, Lakewiki has been extended with LakeAdmin lakes from other European countries participating in the project.
You can read more about Lakewiki at: Järviwiki:About.
The main website of the LakeAdmin project is hosted by Savonia University of Applied Sciences at:
The project's website has a discussion forum for general topics related to LakeAdmin and lake restoration. Lake-specific issues, on the other hand, should be discussed at each lakes discussion page here in Lakewiki. You can find it on the right sidebar of each lake page.
For communicating views and ideas on how to develop Lakewiki to better meet the needs of the LakeAdmin project, please use the discussion page of the current page.
